Palmdale Launches New Workforce Housing Exploration Study

The City of Palmdale is beginning a new exploration process focused on workforce housing — an effort to better support educators, healthcare workers, and public service employees who live and work in the Antelope Valley.

The study will review zoning, available parcels, and potential partnerships with local nonprofits and community development groups. Officials say the goal is to open pathways to more stable and affordable housing options as the region grows.

More details can be found at the City of Palmdale’s official site: cityofpalmdale.org.

Lancaster Expands Youth Spaces Through New Community Growth Initiative

Lancaster is expanding youth-centered community spaces as part of an ongoing effort to boost engagement, creativity, and mentorship for teens in the Antelope Valley. The initiative includes improvements to teen zones, public art spaces, and community-led programming.

Local leaders say these expansions are part of a long-term plan to strengthen safe, supportive youth environments. The updated spaces aim to provide teens with more structured outlets for creativity, leadership, and community involvement.

Information about upcoming youth programs and improvements can be found at the City of Lancaster website: cityoflancasterca.gov.
