Workforce Training for Antelope Valley Youth Our Story

Building Local Pathways to College, Work, and Long-Term Opportunity

AVTECH exists so Antelope Valley youth ages 16–24 can move from training → pathway development → college or career with structure, coaching, and real community support.

Our model is built around the AVTECH Workforce Accelerator, an 8 week hybrid cohort focused on digital literacy, AI readiness, career readiness, and clear next steps into postsecondary education, employment, or income-building opportunities.

8 Week Cohort Hybrid Format Career Readiness Pathway Support
Workforce Need
  • Young people need stronger local pathways into college, work, and economic stability.
  • Employers need participants with readiness, structure, and foundational digital skills.
Youth Priority
  • AVTECH centers underserved youth across the Antelope Valley.
  • A guided cohort model provides more support than a go-it-alone online experience.
Community Partnerships

AVTECH is building stronger pathway connections with Antelope Valley College for postsecondary transition, the America’s Job Center for workforce support and referrals, and local community organizations for outreach and participant on-ramps.

The Challenge

In earlier decades, more young people left school with a clearer path into work. Today many transition into adulthood without industry exposure, strong workforce habits, or a practical roadmap into college or a sustainable career.

  • Many youth need support turning motivation into action
  • Digital skills and workplace readiness matter for modern opportunity
  • Local pipelines help youth stay connected to opportunity close to home

Our Solution

AVTECH provides a structured, cohort-based workforce training model that blends digital literacy, AI readiness, career coaching, and pathway planning so participants can move with confidence into their next step.

  • Training → Pathway Development → College or Career
  • Resume support, assignments, coaching, and accountability
  • Stronger local alignment with education, workforce, and opportunity systems
